Jesus liberates you to take part in God’s story
Paul experienced something so profound that it changed the way he saw the world. Paul met Jesus.
Where once God dwelled with humanity in a tabernacle, or in a Temple, or even in Jesus, NOW the God of the universe dwells in YOU.
“Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver implements, but also implements of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honor while others are for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be an implement for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, skillful in teaching, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.”
1 Tim. 3:15 “The household of God is the Church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.”
Ephesians 2:19-20 “You are no longer strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.”
Isaiah 28:16 “This is what the Lord God says, Behold I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed.”
The firm foundation of God is the church, and this foundation has a seal on it.
It’s not if you are already useful in some way, it’s if you are cleansed that you will be set apart for every good work and useful to the Master.
Fight as hard as you can toward righteousness, faith, love, and peace.
As a member of God’s house, be kind to everyone, absorbing false accusations, and gentle in helping others see the light.
God is in the business of freeing people held captive.
Jesus liberated us and our true position is living in the presence of the King of the universe.
