Bible Reading Plan

2022-2023 Bible Reading Plan

In January 2022, we will begin a journey as a church family with our two-year reading through the Bible plan. If you follow the church plan, by the end of 2023, you have read through the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice. The goal is to hear from God through His Word and build unity. As we fill our hearts and minds with God’s truth, He is not only transforming us to be like Christ. We speak the truth into one another’s lives.

Over the next two years:

  1. We will focus on the entirety of Scripture in several ways:
  • We will provide equipping classes in conjunction with our reading plan. (Dates may change.)
    • Jan 19-Feb 23, 2022: OT Survey.
    • Mar 25-26, 2022: Studying God’s Word.
    • Jan 18-Feb 22, 2023: NT Survey.
    • Mar 24-25, 2023: Teaching God’s Word.
  • The Bible Reading Plan will be emphasized in our Worship Gatherings.
  • We will continue to provide sermon-based Small Group Guides for our current series. In addition, in our accountability time, we will continue to encourage and share, “What is God teaching you through the reading of His Word?” It is exciting to hear what God does in others’ lives as you answer the question for each other.
  1. To assist you with the Bible Reading Plan:
  • Here are a couple of tools to use in your worship time as you pray, read, apply, obey, and share God’s Word. If you have questions about personal worship, The Meeting with God Outline is a practical tool to assist you in prayer. The PRAYS  guide will help you get started in studying God’s Word.
  • We suggest getting a trustworthy study Bible. We recommend the ESV Study Bible.
  • D. A. Carson wrote two volumes devotionals called For the Love of God to go alongside the reading plan. If you prefer a physical copy, you can find them on Amazon or download the PDF version for free. In 2022, we will use Vol 1 and Vol. 2 in 2023.
