Hurricane Irma Recovery

Through our sister church on Turks & Caicos,
we have a unique opportunity to spread the Gospel and help those on the islands in desperate need of assistance.

PRAY.

On September 8th Hurricane Irma tore through the Turks and Caicos Islands damaging 90% of residential and 70% of commercial buildings on the Island of Providenciales. Miraculously, through answered prayer, there are no reported deaths on the island of Providenciales. Harvest Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) Pastor Kenyatta Lewis described the storm by saying, ‘It was like being in a tornado…and an earthquake…for 12 hours.’ Praise God for His mercy to spare life, pray for comfort for those greatly affected, pray for strength for those leading the recovery and pray for the gospel to go forth fruitfully throughout the island through relief efforts.

GIVE.

Harvest TCI is reaching out to the Island to provide food, help clean up debris, and begin the rebuilding process. The hardest hit areas of the island were the poorest areas … people with homes that were not structurally sound. Many of their homes were completely leveled. We have setup a way for you to give toward the TCI Irma recovery efforts. 100% of funds collected will be sent to Harvest TCI toward the recovery efforts on Providenciales and sharing the hope we have in Christ. A $50 gift will immediately help anyone toward a repair or groceries. $100 – $250 would help replace a damaged appliance, bed or bedding. $500 – $1000 could go a long way toward repairing a roof or wall. $5000 could rebuild a stronger home in the poorer areas of the Island. All gifts are tax-deductible.

SEND.

Pastor Kenyatta and other leaders at Harvest TCI are still assessing the damage on the island. For now, the greatest need is funds to immediately help fix damages and provide food staples. Work teams will be needed once specific, highest need projects have been identified and resources have been gathered. Keep checking here for updates or let us know you are interested in finding out more.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10
