Advent: Love
As we continue in this season of advent we light the Love candle. The love candle represents God’s love for us. Romans reminds us that “God demonstrates his love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us”. He showed his love for us by coming to earth to live the perfect life and die for our sins. We celebrate the coming of Jesus because it is through our faith in him that we have eternal life.
John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God”
