Pslam 26:8-12
O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.
Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes.
But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.
My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the Lord.
Praise God for His Presence and Glory! (v. 8)
Open Up the Heavens
“O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.“
In the psalm the Psalmist proclaims love for the presence and the glory of the Lord. Open up the Heavens echos this sentiment. “Open up the heavens we want to see you”. “Your presence in this place your glory on our face”. “Show us, Show us your glory”.
Praise the Lord! He is our Solid Ground! (v. 12)
In Christ Alone
“My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless you.”
“This cornerstone, this solid ground. Firm through the fiercest drought and storm” We are not righteous on our own. We are righteous through Jesus and the grace He provides. That’s why we can hold fast and stand firm.
Praise the Lord! He redeems! (v. 11)
O Praise the Name
“But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me”
“I cast my mind to calvary where Jesus bled and died for me”. Jesus bled and died for us to give us redemption and grace. Through His redemption and grace we turn away from a life of sin.
