Psalms 77:11-15

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.

I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.

Your way, O God is holy. What god is great like our God?

You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.

You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.

Our God works Wonders (v.11-14)

What a Beautiful Name

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.”

In this Psalm, the Psalmist is praising God for his wondrous work. From his praise comes great truths about who God is. No god is great like our God (“You have no rival, You have no equal”). Our God is the God of Creation (“You were the word at the beginning”). In response, we give all the praise and glory to God (“Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the glory, Yours is the name above all names”).

Our God Redeems (v. 15)

Living Hope

“You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.”

Our God redeems! We know that through Jesus we have redemption and salvation (“Hallelujah, Praise the One who set me free”, “there’s salvation in Your name”). God does mighty works. We can put our hope of salvation in him (“Jesus Christ my living hope”).
